Weekly Report

Week 2

Through this week, I continued to work on my blog and soon after that, my music mix. On Monday, I till having minor problems on the layout of my blog (Five of the best rock bands). I probably didn't help that I don't know how to use a mac. I continued through the struggle though and finished My blog. I am happy about the way it turned out.

On Wednesday, I went (with all of the grade nine boys) to the Polish Hall. The point of the day was to find out who we truly are. The day was run by Chaplin Wayne. We started the day off with a couple of activities, but as the day progressed we talked about more serious things like 'What it takes to be a man', and 'Sexuality.' Overall, it was a good day. The food was quite good.

Today (Friday) Officer John Hall came and told us all about internet safety. He talked about cyber bullying and identity thefts. It is surprising how dangerous the internet can be. Most of the stuff that he talked about I already experienced, but it was a nice reminder.During the week I was able to finish everything I needed to do.

Week 3

Over the course of this week, we started and finished one project.The first projects we did was two different parts combined into one whole. We had to take songs from the bands that we chose from the previous week and combine them into one song. After making our music mix, we used Imovie to create a picture collage that synced with our music mix. On Friday, we were given an assignment called Facebook follies. I was absent Friday, but during the next week, I should be able to complete this project. 

Week 4

Photoshop. Everything during this week was Photoshop. We started using Photoshop by just fooling around with colors, but about halfway through the week we actually started properly using different aspects of it.

The first Project we did with Photoshop was a blending project. We had to find two pictures off of the internet which had some resemblance to each other and combine them with a fading effect. I found pictures of Carey Price and the Montreal Canadians Logo. With some editing the picture turned out great. The Logo faded in right above Cary Price's head.

The other Thing we did this week was Face swapping. We had a practice trail at face swapping so I put Mr. Bean's face onto Justin Beiber. After the trial I went ahead and did my finale swap. I put my face onto Bon Jovi.

Week 5

This week, we are working on making a commercial by either standard video, or stop motion. My group (Alex, Nick, Ben, and myself) decided that we would use a standard video. The item that we are trying to sell is the blackberry Z10. We completed the project by the end of the week.

Week 6

After completing the video project, we were finally given our final project. the project was our choice. We were able to Photoshop, make a video, record music, or many other things. I chose to record my own music.

Also durind the week, we went into the construction technology room with Mr. Quinalin and worked on some simple woodworking skills. He showed us many of the tools that he has in the shop and let some of the kids use these tools.
